Mrs. Abby Sewell currently teaches music and choir at Coosa Valley Elementary School. She moved to Alabama from Central Texas, where she danced on both her middle and high schools’ dance teams, serving as an officer for two years. During her time attending the University of Alabama, she sang with multiple choirs, and directed the student-led show choir for one year. Mrs. Abby earned a Bachelor’s degree in Choral Music Education in 2022, and was blessed to begin her teaching career at CVES. She was recognized as CVES Teacher of the Year 2025-2026, believing that music is integral to shaping students into awesome people. Mrs. Abby now resides in Oxford with her husband, Josh, and two cats, Pepper and Walter. She enjoys traveling, thrifting/antiquing, and cooking.
