FAQs

When are the meetings?

The PCS Band Boosters meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the Pell City High School Band room at 6:30pm.

What do the Band Boosters do?

We are a 501c3 volunteer organization that raises money used to support the PCS Band programs. The boosters are solely responsible for providing the larger instruments such as drums, tubas, and marimbas, repairs and upkeep of those instruments, all transportation costs for football games and band competitions including paying for buses and bus drivers, truck rental fees for transporting instruments, cleaning the band uniforms, sectional instructors, and most recently they have began providing food for students during band camp and prior to home football games, JUST TO NAME A FEW! As you can imagine these things are very expensive. The primary fundraisers are our annual Marching Band Festival that we have hosted since 1980, concession sales at varsity and junior high football games, and business sponsorships. Volunteers are needed for each of these as well as many other things. We need your help!!!!

How do I volunteer?

Please get involved to support your student! All band parents are welcome and encouraged to volunteer. There are a lot of opportunities to help from building props for the halftime show to working the concession stands to loading and unloading instruments for football games. WE NEED YOU! You can find out more information about volunteering by attending our monthly meetings, held the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the Pell City High School Band Room. Also, e-mails are regularly sent to all parents regarding volunteer opportunities but you can also find out more information on the PCS Band Boosters Facebook page.
